DescriptionThis a submandibular salivary gland which has been excised. The gland is somewhat enlarged and it appears that the body of the gland shows a considerable fibrous reaction, presumably as a result of previous infections. a calculus is embedded in the substance of the gland and tow other calculis lie free in the jar. These small rounded calculi indicating that they could have lain in the substance of the gland and not in a duct.
