From a nullipara aged 47 years who died of colloid carcinoma of the pylorus which spread towards the hilum of the liver and obstructed the common bile-duct. The lymph nodes were affected close up to the hilum.
The bile-ducts are dilated and their walls, thin and irregular, present many lunate ridges and in places have a honeycomb appearance. Portal and hepatic veins on the cut surface are distinguished by the thickness and opacity of their walls.
