Removed post mortem from a stout florid multipara aged 76 who had vague symptoms of indigestion, frequent epigastric pain and recurrent slight jaundice. For some years she was thought to be suffering from gall-stones but post mortem examination disclosed a normal gall-bladder. The concretion was movable within the pancreatic duct which was somewhat dilated.
The concretion is some 23 mm. in length equal in circumference throughout and blunt at either extremity.
