Hypotensive drugs and steroids were given but he developed a fatal Gram-ve septicaemia. Description of specimen: Colon - Ischaemic colitis (polyarteritis). A small portion of colonic wall showing numerous small bile stained shallow ulcers which have resulted from ischaemia due to polyarteritis nodosa.
