The osteosarcoma projects from the anterior surface of the sacrum.
Of a primigravida aged 26 years who was admitted to hospital some 48 hours after the commencement of labour at term. A healthy-looking dead female foetus was removed by hysterotomy and death of the mother occurred 17 hours later.

The tumour which in the report of the case is called an "exostosis” is a lobulated mass arising from the sacrum and projecting into the pelvis minor forming an insuperable obstruction to birth
