This is an unusual specimen in which a communication has been established between the renal pelvis and the second part of the duodenum
A right kidney, on the anterior surface of which, at the lower pole, is attached a small portion of duodenal wall, apparently the site of an ulcer; the base of which communicates with the lower calyx of the kidneyThere is a slight degree of hydronephrosis. The mucous membrane of mucosa is oedmatous and congested, indicative of an inflammatory reaction.
