DescriptionA wooden, velvet lined box, with a dentistry equipment, there are at least 11 spaces with no equipmnt so it is not a complete set. The box has a sticker on the inside of the lid that suggests that the set was made in France. There is a name engraved onto the front of the box, Frederich Smith, Leeds, this is engraved onto a brass plaque with a fold out handle.
It contains:
1x Small ivory container, for powder possibly.
1 x Spring bolt, tooth key set with four additional hooks. With the markings Samsom on the side.
2 x Plain Straight Forceps [one set is smaller, as it is for childrens teeth.], with Samson, A. Paris markings.
1x Plain curved forceps, with Daran, A. Paris marked on the side.
[all of the forceps are used for pulling out teeth]
1x Curved needle, used for cleaning between teeh to removed plaque etc.
3x Cryer elevator, one with an ivory handle, the other two ebony handles. used to allow access and postioning on the tooth root. It has the markings Samson.
1x Steel hook used with a missing attachment. No markings.
3x Root-tip pick elevators. Used to elevate a tooth or large root fragment. No markings.
2x Cogswell- A elevators . No markings.
There are additional elevators that are used for tooth and root procedures.
