The specimen shows a large ovoid ulver which covers the posterior wall of the pyloric antrum. the edges are sharp and clear cut, the wall steep, and the floor smooth except for a few nodular elevations, one of which, covered with blood clot, represents the site of bleeding from an eroded blood vessel.
The histological picture is typical of chronic peptic ulcer. There is no suspicion of malignancy.
