DescriptionA modification of the Tecota MK 6 trilene inhaler. Flat square base with rubber suckers underneath. Cylindrical body with a narrower domed cylinder in top. The top has a flat white metal adjustment ring which is marked in red with 'Cardiff Inhaler.' A port from the side would allow a tube to be attached. Both base and body are bright green.
Used by during childbirth, the anaesthetic penthrane was inhaled through a face mask attached to the rubber tubing and the vaporising chamber. The penthrane was poured into the chamber to be turned into a vapour.
