Description5 intra-uterine contraceptive devices, all inside sealed sterile packaging. All examples of contraceptive coil. 3 are in blue coloured packaging, and read 'Saf T Coil 32 S'. One in red coloured packaging reads 'Saf T Coil Nullip. One in green coloured packaging reads 'Saf T Coil 33 S'. Each device consists of a long thin white tube attached to a white plastic double coil with very thin blue string.
The Saf-T-Coil was introduced in 1967 and discontinued in 1982. The plastic IUD was one of the least expensive on the market and considered to be one of the easier devices to insert.
Also included is a vaginal procedure drape, inside sealed sterile packaging. Drape is seal adhesive and designed to cover the anal area during gynaecology procedures. The packaging states that the drape includes a metal strip to conform around a speculum.
